Mr. Burtoni was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 near his residence in Mesa. The stolen golf clubs were recovered at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in Gilbert, according to a police report.

Police say Mr. Burtoni stole a set of PXG golf clubs belonging to Mr. Bradley during the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro/Am Wednesday, Jan. 30. The suspect was seen walking off the TPC Scottsdale grounds, 17020 N. Hayden Road, with the clubs, according to a police report.

Scottsdale police say they received numerous tips, which led investigators to identify Mr. Burtoni as a possible suspect.

The department said investigators worked “tirelessly” to locate Burtoni and to tie him to the crime.
“We would like to thank the public and our media partners for their assistance in helping us to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion,” the release states.
