Workshop helps older adults regain a positive perspective

Area Agency on Aging, Region One is offering a “Singing in the Rain” workshop, a workshop series crafted by the Area Agency on Aging to help older adults learn how to create happiness and well-being in the midst of all that life demands and its inevitable surprises.

The workshop facilitator uses scientifically proven strategies that help participants feel more positive, grateful, creative and joyful.

Using group interaction, participants will learn new skills to create positive engagements in life, identify ways to increase happiness, and develop greater resilience.

This is an eight-week workshop for those 55 and older. Located in Cave Creek, the workshop begins Jan. 7 and continues through Feb. 24. Registration is required.

Email Lauren Friedman at or call 602-280-1047 to register or for more information.
