Zerorez of Phoenix has hired Kristin Boston, a resident and native of Scottsdale’s McCormick Ranch, as marketing director.

In her new role, Ms. Boston will be responsible for overseeing advertising and marketing efforts for the locally-owned, small carpet cleaning business. Her duties will include strategy and content creation as well as identifying and developing new ways to reach customers, according to a press release. She brings more than a decade of marketing and advertising experience to her position.

Prior to joining Zerorez of Phoenix, she worked in sponsorship sales for the Phoenix Suns and advertising for iHeart Media. She graduated from the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif. with a bachelor’s degree in English and creative writing. She also attended postgraduate studies in film and writing at UCLA.

“Kristin has been a great resource of knowledge for Zerorez over the years. We knew of her talents and proven track record, so we are very happy she decided to join our team full-time,” said Nathan Perrins, Zerorez of Phoenix co-owner, in a prepared statement. “Kristin is already very familiar with our business model, so we’re excited to have her direct our marketing efforts and see the amazing work she’s going to do for our brand.”

Boston has been involved with community awareness programs such as My Military Hero and Seats for Soldiers. She also has helped fund-raise for the annual Arizona Broadcaster’s Association Golf Tournament, which raises proceeds for ABA students, scholarships and materials. In addition, she has helped fund-raise for the annual Dave Trout Charity Golf Tournaments, which honors the late Dave Trout and raises proceeds for the Dave Trout Foundation to helps mentor at-risk youth in the Valley.

“I am learning more and more that so many of the things we do today are a step toward something we don’t even know we’re climbing for until we get there,” said Ms. Boston in a prepared statement. “I am very excited and honored to be presented with the opportunity to apply my years of experience in advertising and sports sponsorships sales, including working with Zerorez, to helping grow and represent the Zerorez brand that I wholeheartedly believe in and I am proud to be associated with.”
