Cantor: vote for Littlefield and Phillips Nov. 8

Please vote for Bob Littlefield for Scottsdale mayor and Guy Phillips for city council.

And, remember that they respect the residents and the city Charter and the existing General Plan approved by a vote of the people. And remember, too, what is good for, and respectful of, residents and visitors is excellent for business, education, healthcare, tech industries, young families, millenials, and retirees.

Remember, too, that our city council members have no vote on issues impacting our Scottsdale Unified School District, public schools. School district and city council are separate governmental bodies that function independently.

Partisan, special interest, politics is playing “hell” across the board for “democracy” in our country. It can stop with each of us if we remember that “good government, doing the business of the people”  and “unquestioned politics” are not one and the same.

Scottsdale’s city Charter calls for “non-partisan” mayor and council elections, and that is how your ballot reads. Remember that “special interests” can replace political parties in influencing, in denying the good and welfare of the country, the states, the counties, the cities and the townships.
