Jim Lane’s leadership as the mayor of the city of Scottsdale has earned him tremendous respect from his peers and from citizens.

I have worked closely with Scottsdale for many years, at our Vi Community in North Scottsdale and at SkySong, as the master developer.

Mayor Lane served as chairman of the Maricopa Association of Governments, Treasurer for the Proposition 123 Initiative Campaign, and has guided policies that have greatly enhanced the city of Scottsdale.

Under his leadership, the Western Spirit Museum, a highly acclaimed and renowned venue has opened to serve as a regional cultural center for residents. Additionally, job creation has grown significantly and there is an excitement and sense of pride about the city.

He has always been willing to listen, is thoughtful in his deliberation, has impeccable integrity, and has been above reproach.  Although we have not always agreed on each single proposal and idea over time, he has been respectful and is an excellent problem solver.

I am thankful that someone with Mayor Lane’s background and expertise has stepped up to serve the people of Scottsdale as mayor.
