Taylor: Mayor Lane’s accomplishments should not be ignored

I wish to express my deep gratitude to you, Mayor Lane, for all the hard-won progress you have accomplished in helping the city of Scottsdale to become an ideal location for business and living.

A few years ago, my Vitalyze Inc. partners, doctors and researchers from Harvard and Mayo Clinic were determining where we could set up our base of operations, and relocate from the base at that time being, New York City. All were tired of the hard environmental conditions and severe winter weather

We did not want to give up the innovating opportunities of diversity and expansion that New York offered us and the international connections we had there. But living there was a whole different matter. We wanted a more desirable and attractive environment other than a concrete jungle, consisting of tall buildings and cement walkways. We also wanted our home base to represent and reflect our business values.

So we began to research where we could find everything we wanted and required for our Vitalyze Inc. business to succeed and flourish, along with a place to live that was not only breathtakingly scenic, but also comprised of a community actively involved and committed to its future growth and prosperity. A community that consisted of not only the established retirees and seasoned business owners, but also embraced the upcoming generation of the millennials whose aspirations would extend into the distant future.

Our business base is health and wellness, and health care that includes all leading edge technical, state-of-the-art research and services. After careful consideration and research, we know that Scottsdale, Arizona was unquestionably the ideal location.

We are extremely impressed with your striking track record of pulling the community of Scottsdale through and up from a downward drop in economic state and the strong foundation you have established for a solid future of all here.

You also impressed and intrigued us with your sound and achievable goals and considerations for the community residents and business growth to support the quality of living standards Scottsdale is known for.

My business partners also have no doubt after thoroughly researching your history and accomplishments that your ability to forge growth opportunities for established and incoming businesses comes as a result of your own background and leadership roles in many different businesses encompassing several different industries and the many boards and committees you serve. Dr. Hien Nguyen our CEO has expressed admiration for the example you are for all who seek success and great community living standards.

Vitalyze Inc. also sees a vast resource and advantage of ASU graduates staffing our growth needs, those that will be attracted to long term employment opportunities and job security from which to decide to buy homes and raise families here.

So for us, it is a win-win and we want you, Mayor Lane, to know we are backing you and are depending on your leadership to help Scottsdale to be all that it is and still can be better yet. We at Vitalyze Inc. are grateful to you and the council for all you do for us in service, and we are sure as we have spoken to hundreds of large businesses here over our time now, that they also share our enthusiasm for your re-election for your third term as our Mayor.
