‘Live & Local’ benefits Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale

The second Live & Local, presented by Go Daddy and benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, drew more than 3,000 people to Scottsdale Civic Center Mall on Nov. 9, helping to raise several hundred thousand dollars for the clubs.

Sponsored by the Arizona Restaurant Association and NOVA Home Loans, the standout event was unique as it celebrated local businesses while raising crucial funds that will benefit local youth who need it the most.

Joining GoDaddy, Arizona Restaurant Association and NOVA Home Loans were generous community supporters such as The Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation, Charles Schwab, Republic Services, Mary Ellen and Robert McKee, APS, Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club, Home Owners Financial Group, Meridian Bank and Pacific Office Automation.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale empowers 17,800 youth of all ages and backgrounds to develop the qualities needed to reach their full potential as productive, responsible citizens.

The club provides a safe place, caring adult mentors, fun, friendship and athletics, and high-impact youth development programs during critical non-school hours. Clubs are located in cities and on Native American lands in the greater Scottsdale area and promote academic success, positive character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyle
