Car Repair Co. prides itself on ‘doing what’s right’ for customers

Jim Atkinson is owner of Car Repair Company, located at 2918 N. Scottsdale Road. The award-winning automotive repair facility has been in operation on the on the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Thomas roads.

Jim Atkinson and his team at Car Repair Company are living proof that honesty really is the best policy.

Mr. Atkinson is owner of the automotive repair facility located on the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Thomas roads. The shop has been serving Scottsdale residents at that same location for 37 years.

“We’re a family-owned business that believes in doing what’s right for the customer,” said Mr. Atkinson.

“We don’t oversell. We tell you exactly what you need and offer our services at a fair price.”
Car Repair Company provides automotive repairs on all makes and models, but specializes in air-conditioning services.

“A/C, engines, belts, oil changes, radiators, transmissions, everything … we do it all,” says Mr. Atkinson.

A member of AAA since March 1981, the facility has won numerous awards and earned several AAA Top Shop Awards over the years. The shop has an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.

His guarantee: “Done right, on time.”

Jim’s reputation for honesty and integrity has earned him a spot on the BBB’s Automotive Repair Advisory Council.

The ARAC is responsible for reviewing and ruling on consumer complaints against automotive repair facilities.

“It’s really a good opportunity for consumers to have their complaints heard by experts in the industry,” he said.

The facility is staffed by three ASE-certified technicians and a service advisor. One of his technicians has been with Mr. Atkinson for 17 years.

Jim is also quick to give back to the community. Car Repair Company works closely with the Southwest Auto Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides automobiles at no charge to returning veterans.

“We repair donated cars to make sure they’re road-ready, and then the foundation turns them over to a vet who needs a car,” he said.

Jim is a strong supporter of the program and serves on the foundation’s board of directors.

What’s the secret to his continued success? Mr. Atkinson says if you treat your customers and employees right, everything else will fall into place.

“We strive to offer the finest service in the industry. We believe in the highest quality products and services for all of our customers,” says Jim.
