A member of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Ms. Gillom has also served as head coach of the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx teams and, most recently, as an assistant coach with the Washington Mystics and the Connecticut Sun.

In addition, she has played on six different USA basketball teams that won five gold medals and served as an assistant coach for the USA team that won a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Ironically, she began her coaching career in 2004 at Xavier, where she led the basketball Gators to a 130-25 record in six seasons.  She is now a full-time physical education teacher, and she will assist with the school’s basketball program as well.

“We are so glad that Jennifer is back with us here at Xavier,” said Sister Lynn Winsor, BVM, the school’s vice principal for activities and athletic director.

“This is her home, and we are thrilled to have her in our physical education department and coaching basketball for our Gators.”
