Registration opens for Shemesh Summer Day Camp at the J

The J has begun registering children grades K-8 for its Shemesh Summer Day Camp.

Ten weeks are planned May 31 through Aug. 4.

The Shemesh summer season includes traditional sports and specialty camps, as well as a CIT leadership program for grades 9 and 10.

Specialty camps include performance, art, cooking, LEGO, IT, science and dedicated sports such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and dance and cheer. Other special camps include Ometz, for campers with special needs; and new this year, Ivrit Hebrew camp.

All camps include age-appropriate activities, instructional and free swim, daily snacks and enriching weekly field trips.

“We have an awesome summer planned with a great combination of sports, enrichment activities, weekly themes and field trips, even the Israeli Scouts,” says Shahar Edry, senior director for camp, youth, family and Israel programs.

“Campers will make new friends and create memories, relationships and values that will last a lifetime.”

Shemesh is licensed by ADHS and a low staff-to-camper ratio ensure campers are safe and receive individual attention.
