Rivals Combine Series kicks off at Scottsdale Notre Dame

Notre Dame Preparatory welcomed 750 high school football players from Arizona and as far away as Georgia to its new football facility, Bemis Field, at the Rivals Combine Series on March 7.

0325Ns Education Photo (NDP Combine)The Rivals Combine Series is a collection of 12 nationwide regional camps for high school football players. Notre Dame Prep is the first school to host in the 2015 series, according to a press release.

Participants have their times recorded in all the key football testing drills including the 40-Yard Dash, Shuttle Run, 3-Cone Drill, Vertical Jump, Broad Jump and Power Push Up, the release states.

Notre Dame Prep wide receiver Connor Stanton, a junior, placed first in Broad Jump, 6th in Vertical Jump, 9th in Cone Drill and 17th in the 40-yard dash.

Rivals is credited with revolutionizing recruiting coverage and was the first to provide innovative features like national player rankings, online video highlights, a searchable player profile database, official visit lists, recruited-by-coach tracking and text alerts.

Former Rivals No. 1 players include Da’Shawn Hand, Robert Nkemdiche, Dorial Green-Beckham and Jadeveon Clowney.
