Topgolf is celebrating the recent launch of its First Timers Club by throwing a First Timers Shindig event at 11 of its locations across the country, including its Scottsdale location, 9500 E. Indian Bend Road.

The first 20 first timers who register for a bay at each will enjoy one hour of free play for themselves and five friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and receive free tips from PGA Certified Topgolf U instructors; and entertainment by a live DJ, according to a press release.

The First Timers Club is a program created to “reach millennials who have always wanted to ‘do it’ but just haven’t found the courage.” The program offers $15 off a guest’s first visit if he or she signs up on FirstTimersClub.com, stated the release.

Topgolf also just released an online video to promote its new “First Timers Club,” stated the release.

The video, which can be seen at www.FirstTimersClub.com, likens one’s “first time” to one’s first Topgolf experience. There’s a universal anxiety that spans across Topgolf’s audience that convinces people that the game is too hard or too complicated for them to try or enjoy, and this video is meant to help them overcome those anxieties, according to the release.

The Scottsdale Independent is published monthly and mailed to 75,000 homes and businesses in Scottsdale.
